2014... You've thrown some rotten curve balls along the way but you've also blessed us with a son and many other highs. Cheers to 2015! We're having a quiet night now after a lovely BBQ dinner with some friends. Enjoy your night however you choose to celebrate and see you next year!
I want to share here a wonderful resource that I used this year to help me to keep track of my edited photos for Project Life. Caylee Grey has a fantastic website and she has once more provided a freebie to her Project Life Folder Organisation. Here's a quote from her blog post, For the last two years that I did Project Life, I found that one of the most invaluable tools were my digital folders. They very easily helped me figure out where I was in the year, what dates went to a specific week, and they kept my digital templates within them. Nice and organised. To visit Caylee's blogpost and download a zip file to her folder organisation click here or the picture below (from her site). I hope that it helps you as much as it has me!
Merry Christmas everyone!
May you all have a wonderful day Christmas day and a 2015 full of love, peace and joy. Thank you for joining me here on my blog and sharing my passions for documenting our life. I look forward to sharing the rest of my December Daily and posting my Project Life throughout 2015. God Bless! This year I am a member of The Stamp Spot Documenting December 2014 design team. The story of today We have a cheeky little elf here that spends some time with us over the holiday season. He is called 'The other Ben elf'. If you have a child at your home who loves Ben and Holly then you will understand the name. The other Ben elf doesn't get up to tricks every day, but sometimes we'll find him doing something a bit funny. Today's page documents two of the visits that Tilly has liked the most... when we went into her room to find him reading her favourite Christmas book 'Santa Koala' on her bed and also when he was having a rice-bubble-bath at the kitchen table. He was kind enough one morning to set up brekky for Tilly too. ;) The opposite page is a little craft fun that the kids and I had when we used their handprints to make little Santa's. A little bit cute! It seems something of a tradition to include a hand or footprint of the kids each year- another fun way to track growth, and who doesn't love getting messy with paint? Here are the pages... Are there any repeated stories or ideas throughout your December Daily books? If this is your first year, do you have any ideas for the future?

In the morning Tilly and I headed to the pool for a make up swimming lesson and then we had lunch at the shops with ma and did a little Christmas shopping. The evening we had always planned to have our street party. It's a lovely community that we are part of here in our street and we always gather together at the bottom of the court for a BBQ this time of year. Come afternoon the clouds became greyer and the wind picked up. We knew that things weren't going to go to plan, so a last minute decision was made to rehome the party to our home... our carport to be precise. The sun did pop out again later in the night but we were happy at our place with the kids playing in the front yard. Very little pics today for privacy of neighbourhood kids. After the party we came inside and I gave our two a warm bath to get clean and to warm up after playing in and crawling through wet patches outside. They decided to use the bubbles to make themselves look like Santa... too cute! Thank you for stopping by!

The Story of Today Playgroup break up today! It's been a wonderful year of Wednesday mornings spent with this lovely people We've chatted over small and big things, shared anecdotes both funny and frustrating and journeyed along the road of parenting little people together. Our party was a fun little celebration. Shared food, a play outside, gifts of a lovely book from church and a random $5 kris kringle between the kids. Toby was able to come along too which was very handy as it allowed Sam to have a good sleep in the car. This afternoon ma came over to keep the kids entertained while I did lots of cleaning and Toby started to make the windows for the cubby. More sweet decorations now sit on our tree. Here's the page! I enjoyed having the 6x4 slots to fill and using the materials from the kit only. This year I am a member of The Stamp Spot Documenting December 2014 design team. The story of today Today was unbelievably busy but I have to say that it was one of my favourite days of the season so far. There is something so magical about seeing all of the sights of the city at Christmas time, especially when you are seeing those things with children. Tilly was in love with the decorations, the trees, the bells at Christmas Square and the Santas (yes... plural) that we saw. We traveled in on the train to the city for my dad's work Christmas party that is held annually for families. There is a magician, balloonist and facepainter, activities for the kids, lots of food and goodies to take home. This year my brother and sister in law were there with two of the cousins which Tilly thought was fantastic. She LOVES her cousins. Apart from the fun of the party, there was also excitement about going into Pa's office and seeing ALL of his screens and trying to use his phone! After the party we walked down Bourke St mall and past the Myer Windows (we had a sneaky peak over the barrier and into the last window). The mall was decorated beautifully with stars and bells overhead. I've used a photo of this as a filler/journal card. Onto Swanston Street walk, past the Town Hall (the lines were too long for the Gingerbread village) where we spotted a Santa sitting on a park bench. Tilly was keen to say hello so we walked over together and she sat beside him for a photo. To Christmas Square which was so beautiful. A huge tree, candy canes that play church bell sounds, a nativity set up and Santa's house. Til saw that and despite seeing another Santa minutes earlier, wanted to say hello again so we lined up happily listening to an amazing busker for a little while and had our photo taken (free on our camera) with Santa and the whole family. It amused me that she was so eager to visit Santa and to actually 'see' him rather than just look at him, however when she was in his presence she was content. She didn't need or want to say anything, just sit there and smile (mostly) at him. :) From there it was off to Don Dons for a yummy lunch then on to the train and home. Loved it! Here are my pages. A few more than normal today but I couldn't cut back any more! Have you braved a trip to the city this Christmas?
Phew! December is racing by and I've decided to take a night or two off of December Daily to play catch up on other things around the place. Because I print my photos away from home it's been a bit of a rush to get to the shop each day so today I'm cutting myself some slack. It's our Street Party tonight and we had our final playgroup yesterday and tomorrow is a busy day as well. Things are really starting to wind up... and 100km/hr!
Above is a photo that I took 3 nights ago when we were down by the beach for our mini holiday. It was such a glorious view. The kids were asleep and Toby and my mother in law were happily sitting at home so I took the chance to 'escape' and have a little quiet time to myself with my new camera. I think that I'm going to have to print it and hang it somewhere at home! I hope that you all have a good night. I'll be back tomorrow or the next day with the next few days of December Daily! xo This year I am a member of The Stamp Spot Documenting December 2014 design team. The Story of Today In our home, art and craft is a big part of day to day life. We are often painting, drawing, colouring, cutting and pasting here. I wanted to highlight some of our Christmas crafts in my album and the best way to do that was in a page of 2x2 inch squares. I did think ahead on this one and timed my 'craft' pages the day after I had already used this page protector style. I think that the rest speaks for itself! I'm looking forward to having Sam join in more next year. Lots of The Stamp Spot Documenting December kit is used in these pages. It's been so easy to have everything there ready to go. All of my pages have featured goodies from the kit, often with nothing else from my stash! The Documenting December kit is now sold out, however the Instagram Kit 1 and Instagram kit 2 (my favourite of these ones) are still available at a great price, if you're thinking about jumping on board still. Thanks for stopping by! Just 9 more pages to go! Phew!

We headed down on Saturday afternoon and enjoyed 3 nights away together. Her holiday house is set by a quiet town where the beach is safe for little people and we are able to walk there easily from the house. There's also a fun park close by and enough shops and cafes to keep us in town and out of the car. The weather was beautiful, and gratefully cooler than it was in Melbourne. Tilly was excited to have a play at the beach and a little dip. We enjoyed some drinks at a cafe and a meal out together, time playing in the garden and watching Sam develop lots of new skills... walking, a new tooth and clapping! Today's spread includes a full 6x8 picture that Tilly drew of her playing in the water and in the sand on the beach. I really love including kids artwork in albums like this. Similarly to photographs, it's a great way that we can see how things change and grow over time. To the right is a page of 2x2 inch squares with a range of small photos that capture our mini holiday. Will you have a chance of a little getaway this season?
